FranSeth star in new microdrama ‘A Cake to Remember’

Onscreen couple Francine Diaz and Seth Fedelin aka FranSeth  is ready to serve another round of romance as they bring their beloved chemistry to “A Cake to Remember,” an upcoming microdrama that introduces a fresh, short-form storytelling format. 

Directed by Emerald Silvestre, the series marks another milestone for FranSeth as they explore a new space in digital entertainment. The mini-series will premiere its initial episodes on August 28 on iWant.

Co-presented by ABS-CBN Studios and JRB Creative Production, “A Cake to Remember” promises to deliver sweet and kilig-filled moments through its bite-sized storytelling format. Joining FranSeth in the cast are Filipino-Australian actress Zabel Lamberth, Cheska Iñigo, Viveika Ravanes, content creators Tita Cora and Lei Ang, and veteran actor Epy Quizon.

The upcoming project adds to local streaming’s growing lineup of digital short-form shows, joining titles such as “Shadow CEO,” “The Chambermaid’s Daughter,” “Twist of Fate” and “Will You Fake Marry Me?”.

“A Cake to Remember" also marks another collaboration between FranSeth and JRB Creative Production, following their involvement in the previous crime-thriller series “Sins of the Father.” The pair previously starred in romance films such as “She Who Must Not Be Named" and “My Future You.” 

Unlike traditional series that often feature multiple storylines and slow-burn narratives, microdramas focus on a more direct storytelling approach with faster pacing and shorter episodes. Typically lasting only a few minutes per episode, the format caters to mobile audiences and reflects the growing popularity of binge-friendly digital content.
