Actor and host Enchong Dee recently traveled to Bangkok, Thailand, for a general medical check-up, documenting the experience in an Instagram Reel.

“I always considered good health as the biggest blessing,” the actor wrote in his caption, emphasizing the importance of preventive wellness while taking his followers along on his check-up in Bangkok.

“So, today is a special day because I am having my first ever general checkup. I'm here in Bangkok and I'm so excited because this is my first ever checkup at 37. And I don't know what to expect but I'm so excited to see my biomarkers. Come, join me,” he said.

Enchong, whose full name is Ernest Lorenzo Dee, also showed parts of Bumrungrad International Hospital, which he described as the best hospital in Bangkok.

“Quick disclaimer, this is not a paid post. This is actually something that I want to do for my peace of mind and to know if I'm actually healthy at my age. Always remember, health is wealth,” he said.

During the blood extraction, Enchong shared his initial results and joked about the amount of blood that was taken.

“I just got my vital signs and so far I’m low blood. We got a lot of blood,” he said.

He also noted that having the check-up in Bangkok was more affordable.

“Believe it or not, mas mura din dito magpa-check up as compared to Manila. So, nakatipid tayo,” Enchong said.

His visit included a comprehensive physical evaluation, with the actor showing the hospital’s facilities and the organized process involved in the check-up.

The experience was similar to executive medical packages available to international patients, where patients undergo multiple examinations and can receive detailed results within the same day.

While some parts of the examination could not be recorded, Enchong was still able to share glimpses of the process.

“I can't take photos or videos of the process but I'm allowed to take photos or videos before. So, I have this,” he explained.

One of the tests assessed his cardiovascular fitness. According to Enchong, his doctor explained that the general public would typically reach a heart rate of 155 at around eight minutes, while athletes would reach the same rate at around 12 minutes.

Enchong reached 155 at 13 minutes and one second.

“I got mine at 13 minutes and 1 second. So, he's saying that whatever I'm doing, just keep doing it and I have a healthy heart. So, yay!” he shared.

He also underwent an X-ray and an abdominal examination. He noticed a red area on the scan, but said the doctor assured him that everything was fine.

“Just finished my x-ray. I just finished my tummy and there was a red part but the doctor said everything is okay. They advised to just eat first. It's like a free buffet while waiting for your next check-up."

Enchong also reminded those considering a similar medical check-up that they need to fast beforehand.

"Just a quick reminder, if you're planning to do this, you have to do a 12-hour fast,” he said.

After consulting with his doctor, Enchong shared that nearly all of his results were good. His cholesterol was the only result that was slightly above the stated normal level.

“So, the normal cholesterol is 200 and I have 201.4. And then, basically everything is perfect and I'm so happy,” he said.

Aside from the standard examinations, he also underwent an eye check-up, hair check-up, and food intolerance test, with no problems found.

“All my eyes are good. And no problem,” he added.

He also learned that his biological age was 36.5 based on an assessment of his internal organs.

“I thought I would be younger but it is what it is,” Enchong quipped.

Overall, Enchong was pleased with the results of his first comprehensive check-up and ended the experience on a grateful note.

“Success! Everything is good. Ang masasabi ko lang is, walang katumbas ang good health.”

Meanwhile, Enchong recently made a nostalgic appearance onstage with “Pop Rock Royalty” Yeng Constantino.

On Friday, August 28, Enchong reunited with Yeng onstage during the opening night of her two-night “Biyaheng Bente: 20th Anniversary Concert” at the Smart Araneta Coliseum. He brought back his “Chinito” role for a performance of the OPM hit, 13 years after playing Yeng’s love interest in its official music video.
