Elle Fanning revealed that she and co-star Michelle Pfeiffer were almost arrested in Vegas while filming for the series “Margo’s Got Money Troubles.”

The “Predator: Badlands” actress said in "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon" that she and Pfeiffer, who plays her mom, were riding down the Strip in a pink stretch limo with their heads out of the sunroof. They had so much fun even cosidering it as a “bucket-list” kind of moment.

Everything seemed under control thinking they had a police escort until the officers suddenly started shouting “Ladies, get down! Get down!” over sirens. They were warned that they could get arrested  if they did not comply.

Fanning, 28, and Pfeiffer, 68, quickly crouched back into the limo while still trying to stay professional and make sense of what was happening.  It turns out some officers on site were not fully aware of the filming clearance.

Fanning also discussed how "Margo’s Got Money Troubles" came together. Fanning said she and her team immediately saw the book as a series after reading it.

The film rights situation became a shared effort, with author Rufi Thorpe sending it to (Pfeiffer's husband) David E. Kelley’s production company , Blossom Film (Nicole Kidman’s), and A24. Instead of competing, everyone chose to collaborate, pitched it to Apple, and created what Elle described as a “dream team” project.

Fanning is also a producer on the series through her and her sister Dakota's company Lewellen Pictures, which was named after their childhood dog.

The dramedy series is based on a novel and follows Margot Millet (played by Fanning), a college student at Fullerton College who becomes pregnant after an affair with her English professor. With financial pressure mounting, she turns to OnlyFans to support herself and her baby.

She described it as a show that is both humorous and heartwarming, with a strong ensemble cast including Kidman, Greg Kinnear, Nick Offerman as her father and Pfeiffer.

She also reflected on working with Pfeiffer again after many years. First, when Elle was two years old in “I Am Sam,” then later in “Maleficent: Mistress of Evil,” and now in this series, where Fanning felt they have built a close, family-like bond.
