Doug Kramer, Chesca Garcia proud of daughter Kendra’s swimming award

Celebrity couple Chesca Garcia and Doug Kramer are beaming with pride after their daughter Kendra won the Most Outstanding Swimmer award at the De La Salle Zobel (DLSZ) Invitational Swim Meet.

The 17-year-old swimmer, model and social media personality shared several photos on Instagram showing off her medals and trophy, along with action shots from this year’s competition.

“Another goal checked, so many more to go,” Kendra wrote in her post. “Thankful to the Lord.”

Former actress and content creator Chesca was quick to celebrate her daughter’s achievement, commenting, “Always so proud of you.”

Doug and Chesca also shared a joint social media post honoring Kendra’s dedication to swimming. In a lengthy caption, the couple reflected on what it means to support a child pursuing a big dream.

“To every parent supporting a big dream: our greatest strength isn't pushing our kids across the finish line—it's being the rock they lean on through every setback, every early morning, and every quiet struggle.

“When a child feels your belief wrapped around them, they become relentless.”

The couple also recalled that three years ago, Kendra competed at the same swim meet but went home without any medals.

“It took three years of relentless grind to get here. Australia training, targeted S&C, support of her coaches and showing up every single day to do the work in silence. Now she got one of her goals checked!”

Doug, a former PBA player, also shared that Kendra’s ultimate goal is to represent the Philippines in swimming someday.

“Keep reaching for your dreams Kenny! Your mom and I will always be right behind you, cheering the loudest and believing in you every stroke of the way,” he added.

“Endlessly proud of you, Kendra. The best is yet to come!”

The couple’s post included photos of the three of them, candid moments between Doug and Kendra, behind-the-scenes snaps, and action shots of Kendra competing.

Kendra has been documenting her swimming journey and competitions on social media. Last year, she brought home eight medals from a swimming championship in Bangkok, Thailand.

Kendra is Doug and Chesca’s eldest child. The couple has been married since 2008 and also have two younger children, Scarlett and Gavin.
