Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera build quiet but meaningful Easter family tradition

Celebrity couple Dingdong Dantes, Marian Rivera and their two children spent Easter Sunday keeping a simple but meaningful family tradition—sitting down together to write their dreams, wishes, prayers, and reflections.

On social media, Dingdong, 45, shared photos of their small family at a park, saying, “This year, we did the same, together in a quiet place that allowed us to slow down and just be present.”

The Filipino actor and television host noticed how their kids, Zia and Sixto, are starting to express deeper thoughts. “What I appreciated more this time was seeing how their views are slowly taking shape," Dingdong said. Their answers carried a kind of insight that caught him off guard.

“One wished for the war to stop, reminding me how children see the world without filters, just with hope,” he said, referring to his older daughter, Zia.

Sixto, on the other hand, talked about broccoli. “He now appreciates it because I once told him I had to eat a lot of it to stay healthy enough to become his dad. Now he wishes for everyone to be healthy… so people can live longer,” Dingdong said, referring to his six-year-old son.

What left the biggest impact on the actor was hearing his kids say, “Thank you for the sacrifice, Dad and Mom.” He admitted that, “as a parent, that hits differently.”

He also expressed gratitude to his wife, Marian, 41, for helping their children recognize those efforts and for reminding them why they do what they do.

That moment led him to reflect on something bigger: the idea that “the greatest sacrifice has already been made.”

Reflecting on Easter, Dingdong said, “That's the reason we are here. The reason they are saved. The reason we keep going.

He added, “And now that He has risen, maybe this is our reminder to leave behind what weighs us down and rise with Him. With renewed faith. With the dreams of our children. With all our prayers.”

Marian and Dingdong also shared Instagram stories highlighting family milestones where they marked the belated birthday of Dingdong’s sister, Vicky, and shared excitement for Sixto’s upcoming birthday on April 16, with everyone holding birthday cakes.

Last year, the Dantes family spent Easter in Japan at Ohori Park, where they also did a similar activity while sitting under a tree by a lake.

Dingdong and Marian called it a “wish list" so the kids could easily understand it. But instead of asking for toys or trips, their children wrote about spending more time together, being present, caring for each other, and helping others.

“Some wishes are quiet. Some are grand. Some, we’ve been living all along. And what a meaningful day to be reminded of that—on Easter, a day of resurrection, reflection, and hope.”
