Bimby chooses to share first salary with church and mom Kris Aquino

Bimby Aquino recently said he will donate half of his first adult salary to the church and half to treat his mother, Kris Aquino.

In a video uploaded on Kris Aquino’s official fan page on Saturday, July 4, the former child star turned guest host, was seen lining up to claim his first paycheck, signing the payroll, and receiving his salary. Excited, he said, “I’m claiming my first adult sweldo.”

When asked on whom he plans to treat with his earnings, he immediately replied, “My mom, of course.”

He also shared that he and Kris had already discussed how his first salary would be used, revealing that half would be donated to the church. 

 “And iyan ang promise ni Mama to my priest, si Father Jun, or he is now a Bishop yata,” he said, referring to Balanga Bishop Rufino “Jun Secon Jr. 

Bimby also reacted happily when he found out his pay would be in cash, saying, “Wow, it’s cash. I like cash!”

One fan later commented, “Imbes na i-enjoy muna niya iyong unang sweldo nya sa sarili niya pero mas gusto nila i-share agad sa iba. Very good Bim. Good job din po Ms. Kris.” 

The 19-year-old is currently doing a guest-hosting stint on the long-running noon time show “Eat Bulaga.” 

Viewers have praised his hosting skills and his chemistry with fellow host Ryzza Mae Dizon. Many fans also felt nostalgic about their pairing, since they previously starred together as child actors in the 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival entry “My Little Bossings,” which was led by Kris Aquino and Vic Sotto.

Netizens praised Bimby for his humility, with many crediting Kris for his upbringing. Despite their financial status, many noted his genuine excitement and willingness to share his first salary, calling him well-raised and humble.

Recently, Kris made a rare public appearance when she visited the "Eat Bulaga" set to support Bimby. After the show, she had dinner with Bimby, Ryzza Mae Dizon, Miles Ocampo, and Ryzza’s mother.
