Anthony Pangilinan on lowering their diesel prices: It's Donny’s idea

Actor and host Donny Pangilinan, 28, is receiving praise online after his family’s gas station lowered diesel prices despite severe fuel price hikes.

Anthony Pangilinan, Donny's father, shared on his Facebook page and on other social media platforms, that their family-run business recently reviewed the impact of rising fuel prices—not only on their operations but also on motorists and residents in their community.

During the discussion, Anthony, 61, revealed that Donny, who is also involved as a business partner, proposed an idea.

“Our partner (yes, my son!) suggested a move that didn't make sense "numbers wise" but was 100% in sync with our mission: support those who need it most in the community.”

Following his son’s suggestion, Anthony said they decided to reduce the price of diesel at their station in South Forbes in Cavite starting today, March 17. The discounted pricing, he added, will remain in place for as long as the business can sustain it.

Anthony described the decision as part of their effort to balance running a business with responding to the needs of the community, especially now when most drivers are feeling the impact of higher fuel prices.

The announcement quickly gained attention online, with many people commending the Pangilinan family for prioritizing the community. Some netizens noted that their decision shows that businesses can still choose to help others even when profits may be affected.

Anthony also shared a simple reminder in his post: “Let’s all do what we can, while we can, for as long as we are able.”
