Anne Curtis recreates 'Breakfast at Tiffany’s' opening scene in New York

Filipina actress Anne Curtis brought the iconic opening scene from "Breakfast at Tiffany’s" to life in New York City through a social media post.

Anne, 41, shared a one-minute video where she wore a black dress paired with long black gloves, sunglasses, a statement necklace, and a French twist hairstyle. She stood in front of Tiffany & Co. on Fifth Avenue, styled in reference to Holly Golightly’s iconic look.

She held a paper bag and a cup of coffee as she walked toward the store’s window display, casually eating a croissant while the song “Moon River” played in the background, with no dialogue, mirroring the original 1961 film scene.

In her caption, Anne explained the meaning behind the recreation. “A film we loved. A song we knew by heart.

“Twelve years ago in New York, my daddy walked beside me to Tiffany’s helping me recreate a scene from a film we both adored. He bought my coffee and a croissant, playing the role he jokingly claimed as his own, my ‘propsman.’”

She continued, “Cut to 2026. When @alitheacastillo and I were planning what to shoot in NYC, she asked if I wanted to recreate the iconic opening scene from "Breakfast at Tiffany’s." My heart began to sting… longing, if only for a moment, to return to that time.

“At first, I hesitated… but then I realized how beautiful it would be to relive it once more.”

She later carried out the recreation as a tribute to her late father, James Ernest Curtis-Smith, whom she called her “huckleberry friend.” Her father passed away on January 2, 2026, at the age of 82.

She ended her caption with, “How lucky I am to be here and now working with @tiffanyandco. Thank you,” expressing gratitude to the brand she has worked with for several years.

Anne recently attended the luxury brand’s Blue Book Gala Spring Launch in New York on April 16, sharing glimpses of the event on social media. Among the photos she posted was a shot with “Heated Rivalry” actor Connor Storrie.

Aside from managing multiple endorsements and hosting a noontime show, she continues to take on acting projects, including the upcoming action-thriller sequel “BuyBust: The Undesirables,” set for release on Netflix later this year.
