“PBB Celebrity Collab 2.0” winner Carmella “Lella” Ford revealed that her dream project is one where she can work with artists she looks up to, particularly Angel Locsin, while also expressing interest in taking on a darker, more psychologically challenging role.

The rising actress opened up about her dream project while sitting down with fellow PBB alum Joaquin Arce for Jeepney TV’s “Stars On Stars” on August 22. When Joaquin, 19, asked what TV or movie project would make her cry out of joy, she said:

“Lahat ng projects na makuha ko matutuwa ako. Syempre, gusto ko sa project iyong mga kasama ko doon ‘yung mga idols ko talaga, iyong mga hinahangaan ko na mga artista.”

Lella, 20, also hopes to challenge herself with a darker character, saying she would love to take on a role similar to “Obsession.”

“Gusto ko iyong medyo baliw-baliwan ako. Iyong medyo psychotic. Ayun ‘yung gusto ko,” Lella said.

She further described her dream character as a female version of the Joker, adding that she would also be interested in taking on a role similar to the psychological thriller “Split.”

“Iyong medyo psycho, girl version ni Joker, that would be really good. Alam mo iyong parang Split? Parang ganon. Babae,” she added.

Joaquin then asked Lella to imagine she is being told her next project would be with an actress and who she would choose. Without hesitation, Lella named Angel Locsin.

“Kapag nakasama ko si Tita Angel Locsin tapos Darna kami. Back to back. I would dwell in tears,” she admitted.

Lella’s admiration for Locsin was also evident when the pair later played a blind ranking game.

Lella’s category was actresses, while Joaquin’s was superheroes.

Locsin, 41, was the first name Joaquin gave Lella, and she immediately placed her at number one.

“Bata pa lang ako idol ko na talaga siya,” Lella said when Joaquin questioned how quickly she made her decision.

“And you know Tita Angel is very unique. Hindi siya iyong basta-basta na babaeng actress. Maangas si Tita Angel and that's what I want. May angas siya.”

Next came Anne Curtis, whom Lella placed at number three, followed by Bianca Gonzalez at number four.

Joaquin then revealed Karla Estrada, Lella’s mother, as the next name. Lella jokingly accepted that her mother would have to take the remaining spot.

“Tama ka na, Ma. Maiintindihan niya iyon,” Lella quipped.

The final name was Belle Mariano, whom Lella placed at number two.

Her initial ranking was therefore Angel Locsin at number one, Belle Mariano at number two, Anne Curtis at number three, Bianca Gonzalez at number four, and Karla Estrada at number five.

When Joaquin asked whether she wanted to rearrange her list, Lella decided to make a few changes.

“Yes. First, of course, Miss Angel Locsin pa rin. Second, Miss Anne Curtis. Third, si Belle. And fourth, si Miss Bianca. And five, Mama. I love you,” she said.

Joaquin then took his turn with the superhero category. His initial list placed Darna at number one, Wonder Woman at number two, Supergirl at number three, Captain Marvel at number four, and Black Widow at number five.

Unlike Lella, Joaquin chose not to rearrange his rankings. His number one choice, Darna, was particularly fitting given their earlier conversation, as Locsin famously portrayed the iconic Filipina superheroine in the hit fantasy-action series “Darna” in 2005.

Lella is the youngest daughter of actress and TV personality Karla Estrada and the younger sister of actor Daniel Padilla. Joaquin, meanwhile, is the son of film producer Neil Arce and former beauty queen Leysel Sarmiento, as well as the stepson of actress Angel Locsin.
