The U.S. Treasury Department is sanctioning multiple wallets tied to Iran, thereby freezing $344 million in cryptocurrency, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said in a statement on X on Friday (April 24).

The move is part of an ongoing effort by the Trump administration to cut off funding sources to the Iranian government, including a military blockade, amid attempts to restart diplomatic talks aimed at ending the war with Tehran.
