Mayor survives RPG ambush; four suspected hitmen killed in shootout

Mayor Akmad Mitra Ampatuan survived an RPG attack in Maguindanao del Sur after suspected hitmen ambushed his convoy. Four suspects were later killed in a police pursuit and shootout as authorities investigate possible political motives behind the assassination attempt.
