Landslide triggers evacuations in northern Peru

A large landslide in northern Peru has forced 172 people to evacuate their homes in El Dorado province, San Martin region. Heavy rains saturated the soil, causing the ground to shift and putting dozens of homes and a preschool at risk. Local residents say they fled overnight with no food and are sleeping in the streets. Authorities warn the landslide is still moving and more families may need to leave.
