France’s top court has blocked a bill banning social media access for children under 15, ruling that it did not provide adequate safeguards for age verification and infringed on freedom of expression. President Emmanuel Macron has ordered the government to rewrite the legislation, with the aim of having the reform take effect before France’s 2027 presidential election.
