Fifteen rehabilitated penguins—13 Magellanic and two Southern Rockhopper—were released back into the sea off Argentina's coast on April 17 after months of recovery. Rescued with dehydration, malnutrition, hypothermia, and high parasite loads, the birds were treated at Fundacion Mundo Marino and fitted with ID chips before being returned to their natural habitat in San Clemente del Tuyu.
