El Mayo, world's single biggest drug trafficker, sentenced to life in prison

Ismael "El Mayo" Zambada, one of the world's most notorious drug traffickers and a longtime leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, has been sentenced to life in prison by a U.S. federal court. The sentence follows his guilty plea to major drug trafficking and organized crime charges after decades at the helm of one of Mexico's most powerful cartels.
