Ecuadorean diplomat Garces running for UN Secretary-General post

Former U.N. General Assembly President Maria Fernanda Espinosa Garces has officially launched her bid to become the next United Nations Secretary-General. If elected, she would become the first woman to lead the U.N., as calls grow for both female leadership and a Latin American candidate to head the global organization.
