11 killed in Algerian orphanage fire

Eleven people, including children, were killed and 19 others were injured after a fire tore through an orphanage in Mohammadia, near Algeria's capital Algiers, early on July 16. Emergency crews rescued five people with disabilities from the facility as authorities investigated the cause of the blaze. President Abdelmadjid Tebboune expressed his condolences following the tragedy.
