North Korea opens annual science and technology exhibition in Pyongyang
North Korea unveils a wide array of scientific and technological innovations at its annual Pyongyang exhibition, highlighting achievements from over 360 institutions.

North Korea opened a science and technology exhibition in Pyongyang showcasing a range of technological devices and equipment, state news agency KCNA said on Tuesday (December 30).
Footage released by KCNA, which Reuters cannot independently verify, showed exhibits ranging from large-scale machinery and mobile devices to miniature factory models and mobile applications. KCNA reported that the exhibition opened on Monday (December 29).
“The goal of this exhibition is to share and disseminate the achievements and experiences we have gained, providing an important opportunity to address key tasks set out by the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea through science and technology,” Vice Chairman of North Korea’s State Commission of Science and Technology, Jong Gyong, said.
KCNA said scientific and technological achievements from more than 360 institutions, enterprises and organizations were on display at the exhibition.
