Sporting Kansas City announced on Tuesday that they have signed defenders Wyatt Meyer and Jayden Reid. Both 24-year-olds are under contract through 2026, with club options for the 2027-28 seasons.
Meyer made his MLS debut last season with Nashville SC, scoring one goal in eight appearances. He was selected as the No. 11 overall pick in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft.
“Wyatt is a left-footed player who can play both center back or in midfield, and his versatility will provide valuable depth and competition,” said SKC President of Soccer Operations and General Manager David Lee.
Reid, who came up through the New York Red Bulls academy, spent the past two seasons with St. Louis City, recording three assists in 24 appearances.
“Jayden is an athletic left back with MLS experience and the characteristics we are looking for in that position,” Lee added.
Sporting Kansas City will open the 2026 season against the San Jose Earthquakes on February 21.
