LONDON – Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique praised his team’s ruthlessness in front of goal after a 3-0 victory over Chelsea on Tuesday, securing an 8-2 aggregate win for the reigning European champions.

“We were very precise,” Luis Enrique told reporters. “We scored the first two goals very quickly, and that was the key to the game.”

PSG took control early, racing into a 2-0 lead within 14 minutes thanks to goals from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Bradley Barcola. Substitute Senny Mayulu added a third in the 62nd minute.

“I think today we showed once again that we are a team that can play in different ways and that is always unpredictable for our opponents,” Luis Enrique said. “Of course, I am proud because you don’t expect that kind of result.”

Chelsea coach Liam Rosenior also acknowledged the attacking strength of PSG.

“They were clinical in both games, even with shots from outside the box,” Rosenior said. “That’s the level we need to reach.”

Rosenior expressed disappointment that PSG’s opening goal came from an error by Chelsea defender Mamadou Sarr, reflecting a pattern of costly mistakes in recent matches, including a blunder by goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen in Paris last week.

“We can get there without the individual mistakes that we’re making at the moment,” he added, expressing confidence that Chelsea can improve their form moving forward.
