MILAN, Italy – Celebrations erupted across Milan on Sunday after Inter secured the Serie A title with a 2-0 victory over Parma, sending thousands of supporters into the streets.

Piazza del Duomo was quickly filled with fans wearing blue and black shortly after the final whistle at nearby San Siro Stadium. Flares and fireworks lit up the night sky as celebrations continued well into the evening.

The atmosphere marked a dramatic contrast from a year ago, when supporters endured the heartbreak of losing the league title to Napoli on the final day of the season and suffering a heavy 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.

“I have no words. Despite everyone who jinxed us from start to finish. Go Inter, always,” said Inter fan Fabio. “Wonderful. Amazing. And compared to how it ended last year, this year we deserve everything.”

Many supporters were seen emotional, with tears flowing as the celebrations intensified across the city.

“It was more than deserved. It was a difficult league season at the start because it was always tight, neck and neck,” said fellow fan Federico. “But in the end, you could see who really had the team, who had the legs, and even the goals. The goal difference was almost double compared to the others. There really wasn’t a contest.”

The celebrations are expected to continue as Inter turn their attention to the Coppa Italia final on May 13, where Lazio stand in the way of a potential domestic double.
