Paris Saint-Germain fans filled the Paris streets in the night of Wednesday (May 6) to Thursday (May 7), as their team drew 1-1 at Bayern Munich to reach the Champions League final for the second year running.
With the Champs Elysees avenue - a traditional post-match rendez-vous point - locked down by police, fans spontaneously gathered in central Paris locations such as the Concorde or Trocadero squares.
While most celebrations were peaceful, some clashes also erupted between fans and police, with officers in riot gear firing tear gas to disperse groups of supporters.
Holders PSG earned a 6-5 aggregate victory after a compelling second leg that was far cagier than their goal-laden first encounter.
The French side will face Arsenal in the May 30 showcase game in Budapest after the London club's 1-0 victory over Atletico Madrid on Tuesday secured a 2-1 aggregate win.
Bayern, hoping to reach their first Champions League final since 2020, saw their treble hopes dashed and can now only add the German Cup to their Bundesliga crown this season.
