Prince Harry takes on Aussie Rules at Melbourne football club

Britain's Prince Harry tried his hand at Australian rules football during a visit to Melbourne's Western Bulldogs football club on Wednesday (April 15), where players taught him how to handball and kick.

Western Bulldogs players Tom Liberatore, Matthew Kennedy and Adam Treloar welcomed Harry onto the training ground, presenting him with a club scarf before putting him through his paces with handball and kicking drills.

The Western Bulldogs visit came on the second day of Harry's tour of Australia with wife Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, whose engagements across Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney focus on mental health, veterans' affairs and community resilience.

The couple stepped down as working members of the British royal family and moved to the U.S. in 2020, citing a desire to be financially independent and to escape what they characterized as media intrusion into their private lives.
