OLYMPICS: Biathlon-Perrot powers France to gold in men's relay at Milano Cortina

ANTERSELVA, Italy — France, anchored by Eric Perrot, held their nerve in a tense finish to claim the gold medal in the men’s 4x7.5km relay at the Winter Games on Tuesday.

Perrot nearly faltered during the final shooting stage but recovered just in time to keep France ahead, fending off a strong late challenge from Norway’s Vetle Sjaastad Christiansen. Despite a determined push on the last lap, Christiansen was unable to close the gap and crossed the line 9.8 seconds behind, settling for silver.

Sweden secured the bronze medal after Sebastian Samuelsson delivered a flawless performance in the final shooting stage, ensuring his team a place on the podium.
