UCLA guard Skyy Clark has entered the transfer portal while awaiting official word from the NCAA on a waiver request for a fifth year of eligibility.
Clark averaged 11.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 26 games this past season for the Bruins, shooting 42.7% from 3-point range. He missed 10 consecutive Big Ten Conference games due to a hamstring injury.
A five-star recruit, Clark initially committed to DePaul as an eighth-grader, later switching to Kentucky and then-coach John Calipari before his senior year of high school. He eventually landed at Illinois but played just 13 games (12 starts) during his freshman season before leaving for personal reasons. He cited that partial year in his plea to the NCAA to be eligible to play in 2026-27.
In January 2023, Clark said he needed to “step away from basketball for the time being—putting myself and my family first.”
Clark then transferred to Louisville for the 2023-24 season and spent the past two seasons with UCLA, dedicating this past season to his father, who passed away in May last year.
Now 22 and turning 23 in June, Clark has played 102 career games with 97 starts, averaging 10.4 points per game.
