NBA's Stephen Curry signs long-term deal with China's Li Ning

SHANGHAI — Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry announced on Tuesday that his Curry Brand has signed a new partnership with Chinese sportswear giant Li-Ning.

The Chinese sportswear company, founded by Olympic gold medal-winning gymnast Li-Ning, is one of the country’s largest retailers, boasting more than 7,600 points of sale across Asia.

"It’s amazing to see how he’s grown his namesake company as an athlete founder, knowing I have those same hopes and aspirations for Curry Brand," Curry said in a social media post.

While Curry did not disclose the financial terms or specific value of the deal, he described it as a "long-term" partnership. According to the NBA star, the agreement includes plans to launch standalone Curry Brand stores in both China and the United States.

Li-Ning has long harbored ambitions to become a global basketball powerhouse, previously securing high-profile NBA sponsorships with stars Dwyane Wade and Jimmy Butler.

Li-Ning did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the deal.
