Ayo Dosunmu recorded his second career triple-double, finishing with 18 points, a career-high 15 rebounds, and 12 assists to lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 124-94 road victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Monday.

With All-NBA guard Anthony Edwards returning from a knee injury and limited to 22:37 of playing time off the bench, Dosunmu stepped up to shoulder much of the offensive load.

Minnesota (46-29) came into the game off its second-lowest scoring performance of the season, managing just 87 points in a 22-point loss to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday. The Timberwolves bounced back in style, however, as seven players scored in double figures.

Edwards contributed 17 points on 7-of-13 shooting in his first game after a six-game absence. Naz Reid and Bones Hyland each added 12 points off the bench, helping Minnesota maintain its momentum.

Rudy Gobert posted a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds, while Julius Randle led all scorers with 24 points. Donte DiVincenzo chipped in 15 points, including three 3-pointers, fueling a 19-4 Minnesota run midway through the third quarter that effectively broke the game open.

The Timberwolves maintained a lead of at least 18 points for the remainder of the contest, stretching it to as many as 33 points in the fourth quarter.

Dallas (24-51) started strong in the opening minutes but surrendered two 8-0 runs in the third quarter, forcing the Mavericks to play from behind for most of the game.

Daniel Gafford led Dallas with 21 points on 9-of-11 shooting, while Rookie of the Year hopeful Cooper Flagg struggled, scoring 12 points on 5-of-19 shooting, including 0-for-3 from beyond the arc. As a team, the Mavericks shot just 24.1% from three-point range (7-of-29), compared to Minnesota’s 45.2% (14-of-31).

Brandon Williams added 15 points, six rebounds, and a team-high seven assists off the bench, but Dallas fell for the sixth time in seven games.
