Four-time NBA champion Stephen Curry will be on a minutes restriction when the Golden State Warriors face the Los Angeles Clippers in their play-in game on Wednesday night.
The 12-time All-Star point guard has played no more than 29 minutes in any of his four games since returning from a 27-game absence due to a right knee injury.
Warriors head coach Steve Kerr confirmed on Sunday that Curry will remain under a minutes restriction for the crucial win-or-go-home contest at Inglewood, California. Insiders have estimated that Curry’s maximum court time for the game will be around 32 minutes.
Curry, 38, played 29 minutes in Sunday’s 115-110 road loss to the Clippers in the regular-season finale, scoring 24 points on 7-of-14 shooting, along with six rebounds and three assists.
The 10th-seeded Warriors (37-45) are the only team out of the eight play-in squads to finish the season with a losing record. To advance to the NBA Playoffs, they must first defeat the Clippers in the play-in tournament and then go on to beat the loser of the Phoenix Suns vs. Portland Trail Blazers matchup to secure the No. 8 seed.
This season, Curry has averaged 26.6 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.6 rebounds in 43 games (41 starts). This marks his 17th season with the Golden State Warriors, where he has established himself as one of the league's all-time greats.
In a bit of off-court news, the NBA announced on Monday that Curry’s jersey was the top-selling in the 2025-26 regular season, followed by Luka Doncic of the Los Angeles Lakers and Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks.
