Phoenix Suns swingman Dillon Brooks will be sidelined for four to six weeks after sustaining a broken left hand this past weekend, ESPN reported Monday.

Brooks exited Saturday’s home game against the Orlando Magic with 4:46 remaining in the first quarter and did not return. Despite his early exit, the Suns went on to defeat the Magic 113-110 in double overtime.

The 30-year-old Brooks is having a career-best season with Phoenix, averaging 21.2 points and 3.7 rebounds in 50 games, all starts.

The Suns are already dealing with other injuries, including All-Star guard Devin Booker, who is out about a week with a right hip strain, and guard Haywood Highsmith, sidelined for two to three weeks with a right knee injury.

Phoenix entered Monday in seventh place in the Western Conference, two games behind the Los Angeles Lakers and Minnesota Timberwolves. A six-week absence could see Brooks return in early April, just before the regular season concludes on April 12.

Brooks has career averages of 14.8 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 2.0 assists in 542 games (515 starts) with the Memphis Grizzlies (2017–23), Houston Rockets (2023–25), and Suns.
