NBA: Pistons without 3-point bomber Duncan Robinson vs. Cavaliers

The Detroit Pistons were without starter Duncan Robinson for Game 5 of their Eastern Conference second-round playoff series against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday night due to lower-back soreness.

Robinson had been a key contributor for Detroit throughout the series, averaging 17 points over the first three games while shooting 14-for-24 from beyond the arc. However, he struggled in Game 4 on Monday, finishing with four points on 1-of-2 shooting from three-point range.

The 32-year-old guard averaged 12.2 points during the regular season and knocked down 220 three-pointers, marking the fourth-highest single-season total of his career. He also shot 41% from long distance.

Daniss Jenkins was inserted into the starting lineup in Robinson’s absence.

The winner of Wednesday’s matchup will take a 3-2 series lead heading into Game 6 on Friday night in Cleveland.
