Portland Trail Blazers guard Shaedon Sharpe has been diagnosed with a stress reaction in his left fibula, the team announced Tuesday. The injury was discovered during imaging for a left calf strain.

Sharpe’s fibula injury will be re-evaluated in about 4 to 6 weeks. He has not played since injuring his calf in the second quarter against the Memphis Grizzlies on Feb. 6, sitting out the second half of the game. Tuesday’s matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves will mark Sharpe’s seventh consecutive missed game.

The 22-year-old guard is averaging a career-best 21.4 points and 1.4 steals in 48 games (42 starts) this season. He also averages 4.4 rebounds and 2.6 assists and has made 101 three-pointers. Over his career, Sharpe has 15.8 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists in 232 games (134 starts).

Portland will also be without All-Star forward Deni Avdija for the 11th time in 18 games due to lower-back issues. Avdija reinjured his back in the opening minute of Sunday’s 92-77 win over the Phoenix Suns.

Avdija is having a breakout season, averaging 24.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 6.6 assists in 48 games.
