Charlotte Hornets star guard LaMelo Ball was involved in a two-car accident in Uptown Charlotte on Wednesday, multiple media reports said.
Ball appeared uninjured as he exited his custom 2022 Hummer from the driver’s side shortly after the collision.
WSOC-TV obtained dashcam footage showing the crash. According to reports, Ball was traveling west on Trade Street when he attempted an unprotected left turn onto the one-way Tryon Street. A Kia sedan was heading east on Trade Street, and the Hummer, swerving to avoid the sedan, collided with the front right side of the vehicle.
The sedan driver was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, and both vehicles were towed from the scene.
This season, Ball has recorded the lowest minutes per game average of his career, posting 19.3 points, 7.4 assists, and 4.8 rebounds per game.
