Cade Cunningham scored 18 of his 28 points in the second quarter as the visiting Detroit Pistons defeated the Toronto Raptors 113-95 on Wednesday night.

Cunningham, who made 6 of 11 3-point attempts, also contributed seven rebounds, nine assists, and three steals, helping the Pistons extend their winning streak to three games and record eight wins in their last ten outings.

Paul Reed added 22 points and four blocked shots, while Tobias Harris posted 12 points and 12 rebounds. Duncan Robinson chipped in 13 points. Detroit never trailed in the game, dominating from start to finish.

For Toronto, Immanuel Quickley led with 18 points, followed by Scottie Barnes with 17, RJ Barrett with 16, Brandon Ingram with 13, and Gradey Dick with 10. Jakob Poeltl returned from a back strain for the first time since December 21, scoring nine points with six rebounds.

Detroit built a 23-point lead in the third quarter and maintained a 20-point advantage going into the fourth. The Raptors tried to chip away at the deficit, but Ingram’s 3-pointer with 5:46 left only cut the lead to 17.

Reed helped set the tone early with 16 first-quarter points as Detroit opened a 29-19 lead. Toronto closed the gap to six in the second quarter, but the Pistons’ defense and Robinson’s timely 3-pointer pushed the lead back to 13. Detroit led 67-52 at halftime.

In the third quarter, Cunningham scored the first five points to extend the lead to 20. Reed’s steal led to Harris’ running layup, giving Detroit an 18-point advantage with 4:31 remaining. Caris LeVert’s consecutive 3-pointers later boosted the lead to 23 points. Detroit held a 94-74 lead after three quarters.

Detroit played without Jalen Duren and Isaiah Stewart, who were serving suspensions following a fight against the Charlotte Hornets on Monday. Stewart received a seven-game ban, while Duren was suspended for two games. Toronto was also without Collin Murray-Boyles due to a thumb injury.
