NBA: Brawl between Pistons, Hornets results in four ejections

A brawl erupted between the Detroit Pistons and Charlotte Hornets Monday night, midway through the third quarter, leading to four player ejections and a lengthy game delay.

With 7:09 left in the quarter, Detroit’s Jalen Duren and Charlotte’s Moussa Diabate got into a confrontation after Diabate fouled Duren in the lane. As that altercation settled, another fight broke out near midcourt involving Charlotte’s Miles Bridges and Detroit’s Isaiah Stewart.

Diabate, Bridges, Duren, and Stewart were all ejected, and the chaos briefly spread across much of the court. At the time, Detroit led 70-62, with Duren contributing 15 points in 20 minutes of play.
