GOLF: Wyndham Clark WDs from Colonial after winning Byron Nelson

Wyndham Clark has withdrawn from this week’s Charles Schwab Challenge following his victory at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson on Sunday.

Clark closed with an 11-under-par 60 in the final round to finish at 30-under overall, just one shot shy of Scottie Scheffler’s winning total from the previous year, which tied the PGA Tour scoring record.

The win marked Clark’s fourth PGA Tour title and his first since the 2024 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. It also provided a significant boost in the rankings, moving him from 75th to 44th in the Official World Golf Ranking and from 82nd to 34th in the FedEx Cup standings.

Lanto Griffin, who was next on the alternate list, will replace Clark in the field at the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club. The tournament is the second consecutive PGA Tour stop in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex.

Clark follows Brooks Koepka in withdrawing from the event. Koepka also pulled out on Sunday after finishing tied for 14th at the Byron Nelson.
