Steven Fisk captured his second PGA Tour title in the past nine months after defeating Canada's Taylor Pendrith on the third playoff hole to win the ISCO Championship on Sunday at Hurstbourne Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky.
Fisk carded a 3-under-par 67, while Pendrith fired a 5-under 65, leaving both players tied at 16-under 264 after 72 holes. The pair replayed the par-4 18th hole twice, with each golfer making par to extend the playoff.
Tournament officials moved the pin location on the 18th green before the third playoff hole. Pendrith's tee shot landed in a bunker, and his approach came up short of the green. He was unable to save par, allowing Fisk to secure the victory with his third straight par on the hole.
"I was definitely more nervous during regulation," Fisk said. "Once you get into a playoff, it kind of feels like match play. Taylor and I were feeding off each other and watching what the other was doing. Once you're in the playoff, you feel like you have a good chance, but getting there can be the nerve-wracking part."
The victory marked Fisk's first since winning the Sanderson Farms Championship in October, ending a season in which he had struggled to build on that breakthrough.
"It's been a frustrating year trying to follow up that first win," Fisk said. "I've played some solid golf, but I hadn't really given myself many chances to win again. It feels unbelievable to get it done."
Pendrith, 35, was seeking his second PGA Tour victory and his first since the 2024 CJ Cup Byron Nelson.
"I didn't hit a great drive," Pendrith said of the decisive playoff hole. "It's not a very comfortable tee shot for me, and the right bunker is not where you want to be. The main goal was just to get it over the lip, but I missed my spot on the pitch shot. I thought I hit a good putt."
Fisk made the turn at even par before birdieing the 10th, 11th and 15th holes. He then birdied the 18th in regulation by two-putting from more than 30 feet to force the playoff after Pendrith had already posted the clubhouse lead.
Canada's Ben Silverman shot a 66, while Aaron Wise posted a 69 as they finished tied for third at 15 under, one stroke behind the playoff participants.
Lucas Glover, who entered the final round with the 54-hole lead for the second straight week, was unable to close out the tournament. After tying for third at last week's John Deere Classic, Glover shot a 1-over 71 to finish tied for fifth at 14 under alongside Davis Chatfield (66) and Norway's Kristoffer Ventura (66).
"I hit too many bad shots, which is uncharacteristic," Glover said. "Missing a green with a wedge and pulling a 6-iron on 12 and 13 really hurt. I couldn't make enough birdies down the stretch. Those guys played great, and I didn't. That's the way it goes." -Field Level Media/Reuters
