South Korea’s Tom Kim delivered under pressure on Sunday, producing a composed final round to win the Genesis Scottish Open in North Berwick, Scotland.

Kim carded a bogey-free 6-under-par 64 in the final round to emerge from a crowded leaderboard and claim the title. He finished at 17-under 263, securing a two-shot victory over Australia’s Min Woo Lee, who closed with a 67 at The Renaissance Club.

“I played probably as good as I could down the stretch with pressure, and I executed when I needed to,” Kim said. “Very proud of myself for just being calm out there.”

The victory marked Kim’s fourth PGA Tour title and his first since the 2023 Shriners Children’s Open. He pulled away from the field with three birdies on each nine, maintaining his composure while several contenders remained within striking distance.

Kim entered the final round one shot behind the leaders after Lee’s third-round 66 left him tied at the top with Scotland’s Robert MacIntyre and England’s Matt Fitzpatrick. Michael Thorbjornsen and defending champion Chris Gotterup were also among the players in contention.

Despite the disappointment of falling short, Lee said he was pleased with his performance throughout the week.

“I’m just happy with the week and obviously a win would have been nice,” Lee said. “But it was one of the first weeks that I was just happy with myself mentally.”

The final round proved challenging for many players after fog delayed the completion of the third round, forcing some contenders to play more than 27 holes on Sunday.

“It was a lot of work,” Kim said.

Kim highlighted his approach shot on the par-4 16th hole as one of the best shots of his career. The shot left him with a 6-foot birdie putt, which helped secure his final birdie of the tournament and strengthen his lead.

Johnny Keefer, who shot a final-round 67, finished tied for third at 13-under alongside MacIntyre, Fitzpatrick and Japan’s Keita Nakajima, who also posted a 67.

Keefer and Thorbjornsen earned spots in the upcoming Open Championship following their performances.

“Not only a great result but also getting into The Open is just tons of fun,” Keefer said.

Thorbjornsen closed strongly, making birdies on three of his final five holes to finish tied for seventh at 12 under with Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy.

“Things were looking good up until this round where I struggled a little bit on the front nine but yeah, again, really, really happy with the way I finished,” Thorbjornsen said.

MacIntyre, who was aiming for a victory on home soil, said missed putts kept him from challenging for the title but remained proud of his performance.

“Having a chance to win with the whole crowd behind you is unbelievable,” MacIntyre said. “Super excited to play more links golf, and enjoy the weather.”

McIlroy bounced back from a third-round 73 with a final-round 64 to climb into a tie for seventh place. He started the final round strongly, playing his first seven holes in 5 under.

“Obviously there was some good in there today but there was some bad, as well,” McIlroy said. “So I’m going to need to work a little bit over the next couple days to be ready for Thursday.”

Gotterup, who began the final day just one shot off the lead, struggled in the closing round with a 71 and finished tied for 11th at 10 under after a demanding schedule caused by the weather delay.
