Struggling golfer Max Homa has split with caddie Lance Bennett and will have Peter Pappageorge on his bag for this week’s Charles Schwab Challenge at Fort Worth, Texas, Golfweek reported Wednesday.
Homa and Bennett had worked together for less than a year and decided to part ways after Homa missed the cut at the PGA Championship earlier this month.
Pappageorge, a friend of Homa, is registered as his caddie at Colonial Country Club.
This season, Homa has missed four cuts in 13 events, with his best finish being a tie for ninth at the Masters, where he shot an 8-under 280.
The 35-year-old is currently ranked No. 123 in the world, far below his personal best of No. 5 in 2023. He enters this week’s event at No. 74 in the FedEx Cup standings.
Homa has won six PGA tournaments, with his most recent victory coming in January 2023 at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines.
