Lucas Herbert captured the LIV Golf United Kingdom title in dominant fashion on Sunday, closing with a spectacular 10-under-par 62 to finish at a tournament-record 30-under 258 at JCB Golf & Country Club in Rocester, England.

The Australian entered the final round with a three-shot lead over Bryson DeChambeau and never looked back, securing a six-shot victory over England's Tyrrell Hatton, who fired a 63. DeChambeau settled for third place at 21-under after carding a final-round 68.

Herbert's remarkable performance included rounds of 61, 66, 69, and 62, while also helping Rippers GC claim the team title at 52-under, four shots ahead of Jon Rahm's Legion XIII.

The victory marked Herbert's second individual LIV Golf title this season following his triumph in Virginia in May. His 30-under total is the lowest score in LIV Golf history, while his 30 birdies during the tournament set a new league record. Herbert also established another LIV record with a combined 32 birdies and eagles over the four rounds.

Herbert credited his strong finish at last week's Open Championship, where he tied for sixth, for boosting his confidence heading into the tournament.

"I just wanted to carry that into this week as best I could," Herbert said. "I think I got out of my own way in the first two rounds. It was good to play like that today when I was being pushed by two of the best players in the world."

Hatton made a strong charge with nine birdies in the final round but was unable to catch the red-hot Australian.

"Lucas played amazing today," Hatton said. "I wanted to get off to a fast start, and I did, but unfortunately Lucas did as well. I'm very proud of how I played. It would have been amazing to win in front of the home fans, but Lucas was incredible this week."

Despite his commanding lead, Herbert admitted he battled nerves throughout the final round.

"I was definitely feeling it out there," Herbert said. "I knew even par or 1-under wasn't going to be enough. I had to keep pushing, and I was able to take care of what I needed to do to get over the line."

Australia's Cameron Smith finished fourth at 17-under after a final-round 69. Mexico's Abraham Ancer and American Caleb Surratt shared fifth place at 14-under. -Field Level Media/Reuters
