GOLF: Bradley and Furyk named captain's assistants for US Presidents Cup team

Former and current Ryder Cup captains Keegan Bradley and Jim Furyk have been named captain’s assistants on Brandt Snedeker’s U.S. team for this year’s Presidents Cup, set to take place at Medinah Country Club outside Chicago. They will join Snedeker in preparing the team for the showdown against Geoff Ogilvy’s International squad.

Furyk, a 17-time PGA Tour winner and recently appointed U.S. captain for the 2027 Ryder Cup, will return as an assistant after leading the U.S. to victory in the 2024 Presidents Cup. This will mark his third appearance as a captain’s assistant in the event.

Bradley, who captained the U.S. in the 2025 Ryder Cup but finished on the losing side, has a 3-3-1 record as a player across two previous Presidents Cups. He will bring his experience as both a player and captain to the assistant role.

Snedeker still has two spots remaining to complete his roster of captain’s assistants ahead of the event. Historically, the U.S. team has dominated the biennial match-play event, holding a 13-1-1 record against international teams made up of players from outside Europe.

The 2026 Presidents Cup is scheduled for September 24 to 27 at Medinah Country Club’s Course #3.
