Chelsea have lost an incredible manager says Guardiola, but confirms commitment to City

Pep Guardiola hails former Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca as "incredible" following his departure, while confirming he will stay at Manchester City despite speculation linking Maresca to the club.

Pep Guardiola says former Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca is an 'incredible' manager after the Italian left the London side by mutual consent on New Year's day.


Managerless Chelsea travel to Guardiola's Manchester City on Sunday (January 3), a quirk of the fixture calendar given there was speculation Maresca could take over at City.


However Guardiola said he would remain in charge at the Etihad next year, as per his existing contract.
