The Chicago Bears are allowing veteran outside linebacker Tremaine Edmunds to explore a trade this offseason, the Chicago Tribune reported Wednesday.
Edmunds, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, is set to earn $15 million in salary and bonuses in 2026, with a cap hit of $17.43 million.
Turning 28 in May, Edmunds led the Bears with 112 tackles in just 13 games last season. He also recorded four interceptions and recovered a fumble, despite missing four games due to a groin injury.
Throughout his first eight NFL seasons, Edmunds has recorded at least 100 tackles each year. In 119 career games—all starts—with the Buffalo Bills (2018-22) and Bears, he has totaled 900 tackles, 8.5 sacks, and 14 interceptions. Drafted 16th overall by Buffalo in 2018, Edmunds earned Pro Bowl honors in both 2019 and 2020.
