BASEBALL: Yankees star OF Aaron Judge ready for Monday's full-squad workouts
New York Yankees star Aaron Judge will be a full participant in Monday’s full-squad workouts after recovering from a right elbow flexor strain that sidelined him late in the 2025 season. The seven-time All-Star aims to play in several spring-training games before joining Team USA for the World Baseball Classic.

New York Yankees star Aaron Judge will be a full participant when the team opens full-squad workouts on Monday, manager Aaron Boone confirmed Sunday.
Judge, who battled a flexor strain in his right elbow during the final two months of the 2025 season, still led Major League Baseball with a .331 batting average. He finished the season with 53 home runs and 114 RBIs, earning his third American League MVP award.
“I think he took a couple of weeks off from throwing, but he was going right away,” Boone said. “And I think that's kind of served him really well. He's throwing the ball really well right now.”
Boone added that the plan is for Judge to play in four or five of New York's first nine spring-training games before leaving to join Team USA for the World Baseball Classic on March 1.
The injury limited Judge to 95 games in right field last season. He went on the injured list in late July and served as the designated hitter 56 times before returning to the outfield late in the regular season.
Judge, who turns 34 in April, is a seven-time All-Star. Since making his MLB debut with the Yankees in 2016, he has compiled a career .294 batting average with 368 home runs and 830 RBIs in 1,145 games.
