Alex Eala was beaten by China's Wang Xiyu in three sets.

Alex Eala will bring home another bronze medal from the Asian Games after losing to China’s Xiyu Wang, 6-3, 3-6, 2-6, in the women’s tennis singles semifinals in Japan on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2026.


She also lost to another Chinese player, Zheng Qinwen, in the 2023 Hangzhou Games. The Philippines has 3-5-13 gold-silver-bronze as of posting time.
