The Trump administration wants stable relations with China but does not trust the country, a senior State Department official said at a congressional hearing on Tuesday.


Jacob Helberg, Under Secretary of State for Economic Affairs, made his remarks ahead of a visit by U.S. President Donald Trump to China in the coming weeks where he will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping.
