President Trump said he may be able to distribute $2,000 tariff dividend checks to Americans without congressional approval, continuing his plan to provide financial relief from U.S. trade tariffs.

U.S. President Donald Trump on Tuesday (January 20) said he doesn't think he will have to go through Congress to send out tariff dividend checks of $2,000.
Trump has for months said some Americans, depending on income, could get some kind of dividend or distribution of money as a result of tariffs being imposed on U.S. trading partners.
