Senator Mark Villar has firmly denied all allegations, stressing that he is confident the matter will ultimately be clarified once the facts are fully examined.

In a statement, Villar rejected the accusations. “I categorically deny these allegations and am confident that the facts will fully clear my name,” Villar said.

During a press conference at the Senate on Monday, Atty. Levito Baligod said his clients were not able to raise the matter during the June 4 hearing of the Cayetano bloc because no one asked them about it.

Meanwhile, Baligod also clarified an earlier account, saying, “Hindi po sinabi na si Senator Mark mismo.”

Villar maintained his innocence and said he expects the issue to be resolved once all relevant information are reviewed.
