President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. addressed rumors regarding his health on Monday, describing claims that he is ill or incapacitated as false and misleading.

To demonstrate his physical condition ahead of a Malacañang press briefing, the President performed jumping jacks and maintained that he remains fit.

He cited regular exercise and recent medical checkups as proof of his well-being, challenging critics to see his condition for themselves.

“Hindi ito sa tape. I am carrying my statement for this afternoon, which is what I’m going to make. It is April [13], we’re going to talk about the exercise tax. So, this is been done today,” the President told members of the Malacañang Press Corps.

Marcos appeared at the briefing area to address recent reports regarding his health, which he characterized as fake news.

"I challenge anyone who are saying that I am sick, that they come and exercise with me. We will see who is stronger. Come to the gym with me, tingnan natin kung sino mas malakas pagbuhat ng weight,” he said.

He also urged the public not to believe those spreading such claims.

Now you know who the liars are and who is telling the truth,” he added.

Marcos reiterated that he is in "very, very good health," citing recent routine medical tests and his successful recovery from a previous condition.

"Once again, I think it’s very easy and very clear that I’m in very, very good health…I just had my regular blood test kasi nagpapaano ako ng vitamins and everything. And I’m fine. I’m really quite fine. Last time that I went to the hospital was to have my CAT scan to show na ‘yung diverticulitis ko gumaling na,” he said.

He noted that he has not been hospitalized in months, except for a follow-up scan, and that he has already returned to his normal routine.

“I haven’t been to the hospital for three months and even then it was just to have a CAT scan because the CAT scan – to tell my doctors if the diverticulitis has completely been fixed… My diet is back to normal. My exercise is back to normal. I still exercise three to four times a week. I’m watching my food better than before,” the President said.

Marcos shared that he only takes maintenance medications for gout and hypertension, along with occasional antihistamines for allergies.

He noted that while he is currently symptom-free, he manages his health through a good diet and regular exercise.

Although he mentioned needing more sleep, he confirmed that his medical checks are normal and he is in good health.
