SEOUL - North Korea's Foreign Ministry on Wednesday criticised South Korea's plans to develop nuclear-powered submarines, saying the programme would heighten instability on the Korean Peninsula and in the wider region.
A ministry statement carried by state media KCNA said Pyongyang must possess the capability to counter military moves by adversaries with retaliatory strikes that would make their survival impossible.
