French President Emmanuel Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni led a plenary session on fighting against drug-trafficking on Monday (May 4) in Armenia, on the sidelines of a summit of the European Political Community (EPC).

The summit brings together nearly 50 heads of state and government, including leaders from the EU’s 27 member states as well as Britain, Norway, Switzerland and Ukraine.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has also been invited to attend, marking the first time a non‑European leader has been asked to take part in the EPC summit.
